Five new animals have arrived at the Tavernes Shelter. They are three puppies a few days old, picked up by the Tavernes Local Police, a mixed-breed dog named Maya rescued from a ditch in Rafelguaraf, and a female rabbit hutch that had been wandering the streets of Favara for days.

All of them are now waiting for their families or a foster home, especially the three kittens, who are too young to stay at the Shelter.

The Tabernes de la Valldigna Animal Shelter has welcomed three new guests: a female cat and two male dogs picked up in Llaurí, Corbera, and Cullera, respectively.

Cuqui, picked up on Tuesday, October 14th in Llaurí, is a very docile, unchipped, and a few-month-old female cat.

Mike, a very docile male dog, appeared on Wednesday, October 15th, on the road between Corbera and Alzira. He also didn’t have a chip.

CanCan is the name we gave to the male dog picked up on Wednesday, October 15th, in Cullera. He is a 25-kilogram mixed-breed male who requires a potentially dangerous dog license and, if adopted, cannot share a home with other animals.

All of them are waiting to be reclaimed by their owners or be adopted.

 

Open day for protective associations at the Animal Shelter

Eight animal protection associations from the regions of Ribera Alta, Ribera Baixa, Safor and the city of Valencia participated on October 14 in the open day organized by the Animal Shelter Center (CAA) of Tavernes with the aim of introducing the facilities, their operation, and the protocols for collecting, caring for, caring for and adopting animals.

The representatives of the animal protection associations toured the services and spaces of the center accompanied by the president of the Ribera Alta Association, Paqui Momparler, the service coordinators and the rest of the staff.

During the visit, the entities toured the facilities and were able to share ideas, experiences and proposals to continue working together in favor of animals.

The president of the Association and the coordinators of the center thanked the associations for their dedication and commitment.

The organizations COLFELLA (Colònies Felines de LLaurí), Patitas Olvidadas de La Barraca, Dignitat Gatuna de Carcaixent, Spama Safor, Modepran de Valencia, Colònies Felines de Castelló, Associació Meu Xape de la Pobla Llarga, Associació Benestar Animal de Bellreguard and Associació Puro Galgo d’Alzira participated.

The CAA, promoted by the Consorci de la Ribera (Associations of the Ribera Alta and Baixa) and the Association of Municipalities of La Safor, was inaugurated on October 7 and began receiving the first abandoned animals a few days later.
